Graduate students experience a substantial amount of stress trying to juggle research, coursework, work as a clinical psychologist trainee, teaching assistantships, and research assistantships, while also trying to maintain a semblance of work-life-sleep balance. Unfortunately, maintaining this balance can be exceptionally difficult, resulting in a staggeringly high rate of anxiety and depressive disorders. The goal of the AGSP Wellness Series is to enhance student life by fostering tools that will promote better wellness and self-care, resulting in happier students, and more productive work.
The wellness and self-care series will be an annual event that will include special guests to run workshops throughout the year. These workshops include (but are not limited to) yoga classes, workshops in healthy eating and exercise, anger management, and mindfulness.
